JAAFAR REZA

Originally born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, Jaafar started riding and showing horses at his family’s farm where he spent much of his time as an aspiring young rider. Among his accomplishments as a young rider and trainer, Jaafar won the Lebanese Cup, qualified for the World Jumping Challenge, and competed in multiple Grand Prix across Lebanon.

In 2014, Jaafar made his journey to the United States where he continued riding and training horses, while also earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. After graduating, he decided to follow his true passion and continued to work as an equestrian professional.

Jaafar went on to ride and train horses at a private breeding farm in North Carolina. He traveled to multiple different showgrounds including Tryon International Equestrian Center and WEC Ocala, where he competed in many national Grand Prix.

Jaafar’s path brought him to Michigan in May of 2021. Since then, he has earned sponsorship under CWD saddles and Razza Pura. Jaafar’s goal is to share his knowledge and passion for horses with hunter/jumper riders.

GREG & JESSICA CROLICK

Greg, a nationally recognized trainer and rider from Clarkston, Michigan comes to Grosse Pointe Equestrian for his students and horses. Greg has enjoyed tremendous success in the show ring. Jessica specializes in giving young riders confidence as they acquire riding skills. She teaches beginning riders as well as children participation in top national shows. Greg and Jessica have been married since 2009 and have two children of their own.

TIM SULLIVAN

Tim has been showing, training and teaching students in the hunter/jumper realm of horses for 50 years.

 Tim’s achievements include:

  • 4 top ten finishes for junior at the U,S,E,F. and Maclay Equestrian Finals.

  • Qualifying junior jumper riders for the brix de states and North American young Rider of teams.

  • Many personal major wins and championships across the Midwest, in California and Canada.

  • Former horses and riders won U.S.E.F. high score championships.

  •  Owner, trainer and rider of Grand Prix jumper, Skywalker, who was sold in Canada and became a member of the Canadian Olympic Team

  • Touch the Sun: 2 time U.S.E.F. horse of the year. Hall of Fame inductee and chosen by the Practical Horseman Magazine as the Best thoroughbred show hunter of all-time.

LYNNE KRUEGER

Lynne has over 40 years of riding experience in various Western and English disciplines including over 15 years of focused instruction in the art of classical dressage. She has ridden dressage extensively under the tutelage of both Leah Conathan and Jesse Collins as well as attending clinics with George Williams, Heather Blitz, Jon LaForce, Bruno Gonzalez and others. Lynne rode daily with Jesse as he trained her horse Campeon from Training level up through Gran Prix movements. She has also trained her own second horse Galileo, under the tutelage of Leah Conathan, through fourth level movements. In the show ring Mrs. Krueger has completed 2/3 of the USDF requirements for her Bronze medal and is pursuing certification under the USDF teacher/trainer program 1st-4th levels. Lynne first fell in love with dressage when, as a grade school child, she attended a live performance of the Spanish Riding School of Vienna on their 1964 ‘thank you’ tour of the United States. Today she shares her passion for horses and learning with her students.
